JOB TITLE: Senior Project Planner
LOCATION: Thatcham, Berkshire
SALARY: Dependent on experience
DURATION: Permanent

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
You will be responsible for providing the Team Leaders, Project Manager, Bid Manager and Engineering Managers with project planning services across a number of design and implementation projects. Mentoring and developing a junior project planner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparation of the detailed P3e project plans, with integrated resources and costs for both bid & projects
• Obtain and verify weekly update/progress date from the design and implementation teams
• Prepare weekly project plan updates to the project manager
• Prepare formal monthly progress reports to the project manager
• Work with the Cost Engineer to prepare monthly Earned Value reports to the project manager
• Provide the planning interface with client Project Controls Manager / Planners.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a HNC in relevant engineering or equivalent (i.e science or computing)

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal P3e training

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Planning experience working on a multi-discipline design and/ or implementation projects
• Primavera P3e
• Engineering / scientific background, with a good understanding of engineering disciplines
• Programme, time & quality with ability to resolve in consultation with peers
• Work and communicate with others at all levels
• Effectively present and discuss ideas and plans
