JOB TITLE: Power Transmission System Design Engineer
LOCATION: Leicester
SALARY: Negotiable
DURATION: Permanent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing Production of System studies to required form and in agreed timescales with Team Leader
• Presentation of system study facts for Optioneering assessments by the team
• Ensuring System Study risks are included and evaluated correction in the scheme risk management process
• Liaison with key stakeholders to ensure design interpretations are correct throughout project lifecycle
• Reporting progress of studies to Team Leader
• Network Analysis studies to include: Power Flow, Short Circuit, Transient Stability, Load Shedding, Governor Response, Voltage Stability, Small Signal Stability, Islanding & Remedial actions, AC/DC Filter performance & Rating, EMTP, EMTDC, Electrode design.

• Highlight significant issues as soon as possible to ensure appropriate mitigation can take place.
• Sharing learning with team to help assist colleague development

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Must be proficient in the use of DigSILENT Powerfactory software for network analysis.
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels.

BS Security Level Clearance is required.
